Approximately 9 out of 10 women have cellulite, and it is most commonly located in the buttocks. Qwo™ Cellulite Treatment is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate-to-severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women.
What is Cellulite?
Before being able to understand how Qwo Cellulite Treatment works, we must first understand cellulite’s composition. Cellulite is not simply fat, but it is specific bulges or pockets of fat that create dimples. Fibrous bands (or fibrous septae) connect the skin to muscle. These fibrous bands aren’t evenly distributed, so fat cells unevenly bulge between the fibrous bands, creating cellulite dimples. This is why exercise and weight loss are typically not effective at reducing cellulite.
What is Qwo Cellulite Treatment?
Qwo (pronounced kwhoa) Cellulite Treatment is a first-of-its-kind injectable clinically proven to reduce moderate to severe cellulite. Qwo Cellulite Treatment contains two types of collagen-degrading enzymes called collagenases. These collagenases chemically loosen the fibrous bands around the fat that cause it to be unevenly distributed. The Qwo Cellulite Treatment also stimulates new collagen production to strengthen the skin and redistribute the fat cells more evenly, giving a much smoother appearance.
Qwo Cellulite Treatment has been studied more than any other FDA-approved cellulite treatment, with over 1,800 women of various ages, skin tones, ethnicities and backgrounds. No other non-surgical treatment is as effective at reducing the appearance of cellulite for all skin types.
In clinical studies, Qwo Cellulite Treatment has been shown to thicken the skin over time, increase new collagen production and aid in the redistribution of fat cells.
What Is the Qwo Cellulite Treatment Procedure Like?
Qwo is injected directly into the cellulite dimples using a fine needle. This can take as little as 10 minutes and is a relatively pain-free procedure, with no need for anesthesia, no scarring and no downtime.
The procedure typically requires three treatment visits, 21 days apart. Each treatment visit may include two treatment areas.
While some temporary bruising may appear after the treatments, Qwo Cellulite Treatment results in less bruising, quicker recovery and longer-lasting results compared to other non-surgical cellulite treatments.
Noticeable results may be visible in as little as 10 weeks. This gives the fibrous bands enough time to begin to relax, for the body to create additional new collagen and for fat cells to be redistributed.
Results of Qwo Cellulite Treatment are permanent and studies have shown that the effects of the treatment can last for over four years.
