Dr. Nikfarjam and his team strive to deliver the most natural-feeling breasts post-surgery, but the answer may vary, depending on who you ask. The short answer is “Yes”! You should feel very comfortable with your new breasts, and they should have a natural touch to you and your partner; that being said – it really depends on the implant type.
After the swelling subsides, your breasts will begin to feel more like a natural part of your body. If your implants were placed under the muscle, they may take a few months to feel normal as they “drop and fluff.” Until then, they may feel unnaturally high on your chest and you may experience a sensation of tightness.
Some people will tell you they feel like water balloons, but that’s not quite right. The thick silicone shell gives them a little bit of the resilience of natural breast tissue. The newer gummy bear implants tend to feel a little less natural because they are significantly firmer.
